Below is our edited video of our presentation to our focus group. We expressed our ideas with examples and allowed votes and feedback for ideas.

Digipaks and Jewel Cases
Digipaks are considered as environmental friendly version of jewel cases (CD covers)as they are made from recycled materials such as milk bottles and egg cartons. Digipaks consist of a plastic disc tray that has been glued inside a folded cardboard case. Digipaks have several advantages in comparison to CD covers as they offer more to fans due to having 6 sides minimum compared to the CD case which is made up of a minimum of 2 sides. Digipaks offer audiences more than just a standard CD case as many include: posters, photos, lyrics, information, promotions etc. However, due to the material of Digipaks, you can argue that a jewel case is more likely to last longer as Digipaks tend to rip and tear after a while. This however can offer fans to protect the covers more.

The History of Indie Music
The History of Indie (Independent) Music
1980's - Indie rock is a genre of alternative rock that originated in the United Kingdom in the 1980s. The genre itself is very diverse, with and includes sub-genres: indie rock, indie pop, jangle pop, and lo-fi, among others. Originally used to describe record labels, the term became associated with the music they produced and was initially used interchangeably with alternative rock.
1990's - Grunge bands broke into the mainstream, and the term "alternative" lost its original counter-cultural meaning. The term "indie rock" became associated with the bands and genres that remained dedicated to their independent status.
2000's - In the early 2000s, a new group of bands that played a stripped-down and back-to-basics version of guitar rock emerged into the mainstream. The commercial breakthrough from these scenes was led by four bands: The Strokes, The White Stripes, The Hives and The Vines.

Good Charlotte - Little Things Music Video Re-creation
For the re-creation of this music video, myself, Jade and Rachael are working as a team to direct and film the scenes within the classroom and beginning of the video. Below is the original video and a snapshot of the band labeled so we know who is who.
We have created a shot by shot power point so we can analyse each shot and angle so we can re-create the same shots as in the video. The shots were originally in chronological order, but I have organised each shot in the same location or same person so we can film them at the same time to avoid mistakes with costume, camera angle and shot etc.
>
Creating this music video is a practice for when we make our own music videos when we choose a track from a selected list. It will also help us recognise codes and conventions of certain music genres.
My final edit
