Digipaks and Jewel Cases

Digipaks are considered as environmental friendly version of jewel cases (CD covers)as they are made from recycled materials such as milk bottles and egg cartons. Digipaks consist of a plastic disc tray that has been glued inside a folded cardboard case. Digipaks have several advantages in comparison to CD covers as they offer more to fans due to having 6 sides minimum compared to the CD case which is made up of a minimum of 2 sides. Digipaks offer audiences more than just a standard CD case as many include: posters, photos, lyrics, information, promotions etc. However, due to the material of Digipaks, you can argue that a jewel case is more likely to last longer as Digipaks tend to rip and tear after a while. This however can offer fans to protect the covers more. Image and video hosting by TinyPic Image and video hosting by TinyPic
